Accomplishments
My name is Heidi Lamancusa, I have lived in Pennsylvania for most of my life and I have worked as a paralegal for almost ten years. I graduated from Erie Business College in 2014, with an associate degree in Paralegal Studies. I have since continued my education at Point Park University of Pittsburgh with a concentration in Public Relations and Social Media Marketing. I love working as a paralegal, I feel grateful for the opportunities I have been afforded to gain practical experience in the legal field. I always strive to expand on my skills and further my education.
Italian Ties
Although I am not of Italian descent myself, I married into a big Italian family. I live in New Castle, Pennsylvania, with my husband and our four daughters. The City of New Castle is rich with Italian culture, our population is predominantly descendants of Italian immigrants. My husband’s grandparents immigrated to New Castle, in the late 1920’s. They lived above their family grocery store in a small apartment on the South Side. They saved their entire lives to be able to send my father-in-law to law school and his sister to medical school. Several years ago, my husband visited the village in Sicily where his grandparents were married, and he was able to see their marriage record in person. It was a special moment for him and his father. It is so important to celebrate our heritage, I feel so much pride sharing the Lamancusa name and their story.
